Performer, pianist Oleg Poliansky, originally from Kiev, Ukraine, has been living in Cologne since 1993. He is Associate Professor for Major Piano at Hochshule für Musik Köln since 2007.

Oleg Poliansky had been a prize winner at many international piano competitions: the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow.(1998), at the piano competitions in Tokyo (1986), Montreal (1988), Cincinnati (1999), Cantu (Italy) in 2003, and at the International Christian Ferras and Pierre Barbìzet Memorial Duet Competition in Marseille (1997).

Mr. Poliansky has appeared as a soloist with many renowned orchestras, including the Moscow Soloists, the Moscow Sympony Orchestra, the New Philharmonic Orchestra of Westphalia, the Cologne Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, the Budapest String Orchestra, the Symphony Radio of Korean Radio, and others.

As a chamber musician, Oleg Poliansky plays with internationally acclaimed performers, including Pavel Gililov, Henri Sigfridsson, Pierre Amoyal, Mayuko Kamio, Mayu Kishima, Sayaka Shoji, Michail Ovrutsky, Natasha Korsakova, Erik Schumann, Leticia Munoz-Moreno, Kirill Rodin, Lazslo Fenyo, Tatyana Vassilieva and Dmitri Sitkovetski.
