Art Exhibition: “Fusion of the Arts” by Mark Cheikhet

Mark Cheikhet describes his work as action painting – a form of Abstract Expressionism. He paints with forceful, rapid, impulsive brush strokes or by splashing the paint directly onto the canvas. He cites as his major artistic influences the painters Pablo Picasso,
Jackson Pollock and Joan Miro. Being a very talented musician as well, he is also inspired by music and sounds.

Mark Cheikhet graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, the city where he began his career as an artist. During the intervening years he has participated in numerous exhibitions across the United States and the Russian Federation.
